Relocation of East Asia Regional General Manager's Office
Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Masanori Kawai, President), has relocated its East Asia Regional General Manager's Office from Hong Kong to Shanghai effective May 1.
In May 2010 Nippon Express divided its Asia-Oceania Regional General Manager's Office into an East Asia Regional General Manager's Office and a South Asia-Oceania Regional General Manager's Office, with the former operating out of the previous location of the Asia-Oceania Regional General Manager's Office in Hong Kong.
In view of the growing importance of domestic logistics within China for our business in East Asia and of the need for more rapid business decision-making, the Company has chosen to transfer oversight functions for the East Asia region to China's economic center of Shanghai.
Two new organizations will be established in the Regional General Manager's Office in conjunction with this relocation: a Business Solution Division responsible for handling automotive logistics and developing new logistics models, and a Corporate Strategy Division charged with devising long-term strategies for the East Asia region.
This move reflects Nippon Express' ongoing commitment to providing a diversity of high-quality services to its customers in East Asia.
